In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of both my graduation and the economy crash that lead me to a series of misguided career choices I present you with something wonderful.
The kids these days have all kinds of fun ways of getting wasted. Over the years the methodology has evolved from bathtub moonshine to bootleg beer to spray paint to Sparks to whip its to oddly placed air compressor nozzles to pseudofed to tide pods.
But in my day we had something different.
We didn’t take (as many) selfies. We didn’t snippy chat, twit, or instawhatsit.
We had power hour. Until I got ahold of it, power hour was a one hour playlist of 60 second song snippets. Armed with 6 or 7 beers, a shot glass, and “friends”, participants would take a shot of beer between every song. It doesn’t sound bad at first but it adds up and kicks ones ass.
Well I wanted to take it further and with the efforts of several friends (mostly Ken from New Brunswick) we put together three legendary power hours the likes of which the world has never seen before.
What’s better than audio? Video. We curated video power hours to complement the experience of getting unintelligibly wasted.. and it was quite successful.
The collection consisted of Comedy, Horror, and Disney. Probably not hard to believe, but Disney was always the favorite.
For interested parties, here are links to the three videos in their full majesty:
So here you go, the intro’s to the three power hour DVDs. Happy Times.
